The main interface board at the bottom was created from scratch using a toner transfer method and etching with ferric chloride. The image was created in Microsoft PowerPoint, printed on a Press-n-Peel transfer film from Techniks and transferred to the copper clad board by ironing it on.
The interface board distributes the signals from the computer to the stepper drivers.
There is an extra interface board at the top that allows easy access through a door a the front of the case. This board allows changing the signal inputs when needed on different projects.
